Bust of Kumarugupta I to right, wearing headdress and earring; behind, blundered legend in Greek. Rev. PARAMA BHAGAVATA RAJADHIRAJA KUMARAGUPTA MAHENDRATIYA ('King of Kings King, Kumaragupta Mahendratiya the highest stage devotee [of Vishnu]' in Brahmi) Garuda standing facing on cloud with spread wings. Kumar, p. 334, Garuda type, Variety B. Pieper 870. Rare with long-necked Garuda and RAJADHIRAJA in the reverse legend. Minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
